Research Interests
My current interests center around the integration of Prehistory research with Society, particularly in the realm of science communication for non-specialized audiences. Additionally, I am interested by the involvement of the discipline in addressing societal issues and influencing policymaking. I also have a interest in the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology.
Short Bio
I am an archaeologist with expertise in Prehistory, Lithic Technology, Museology, Cultural Heritage, and Science Communication and Outreach. I hold a PhD (UTAD), a Master’s (Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne). I have 18 years of experience teaching undergraduate and Master courses at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar and 17 years working at the Prehistoric Art Museum of Mação. As a science communicator, I host a Prehistory-themed podcast and i am a chrocnicler in Science and History in a regional newspaper. Currently, I am a Science Manager at the School of Communication and Media Studies at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.
