Reference Collections
LusoLit
The geological reference collection for Portuguese cherts and flints, including the rock samples but also some of the associated thin sections.
Techno-typology
The stone tool techno-typology reference collection composed of archaeological and experimental specimens.
Work Stations
The lab houses a portable XRF Bruker TITAN to perform element analysis, a Dino-lite AM7915MZT digital hand-held microscope, and a couple of stereo microscopes for artifact observation. Additional equipment includes USB-capable digital calipers, scales, and goniometers, as well as photographic and 3d scanning equipment in collaboration with the DigiArch laboratory. Lptops are also available for data entry using the E5 software.
