Short Bio
I received my PhD in Anthropology from Southern Methodist University in 2006, exploring hominin migrations out of Africa through the Arabian Peninsula. For the past 25 years, I have directed archaeological fieldwork in Yemen and Oman. My interests also include science communication and was an award-nominated science and religion presenter for BBC, National Geographic, and other channels. I presently working on projects in southern Oman and Mozambique, focusing on early human dispersals.
