Professor João Luís Cardoso, a longstanding member of ICArEHB and lecturer at Universidade Aberta, has been honored with the Professor Doctor Octávio da Veiga Ferreira Archaeology Prize for his book ‘O Povoado pré-histórico de Leceia: cinquenta anos de trabalhos arqueológicos (1972-2022).’

The prestigious prize, presented by the Municipality of Oeiras at the Portuguese Academy of History, recognizes outstanding research studies in archaeology on the Iberian Peninsula.

The award ceremony is scheduled for December 6th at 3 pm during the Academy Day Celebrations.
