Zooarchaeology (vertebrates, mostly mammals and birds) and Archaeology from prehistoric complex societies, Zooarchaeology and Taphonomy, Funerary Zooarchaeology, Archaeology of death.

Short Bio

I got my undergraduate degree in History and Archaeology at Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon. Later I did my Masters in Archaeology, speciality of Methods and Theory at the University of Algarve with a dissertation on Archaeology and Taphonomy in Castanheiro do Vento walled enclosure. In 2013 I got my PhD in Archaeology, at the same university, with a thesis on zooarchaeology and taphonomy of ditched enclosure and pit sites. My supervisor of both master’s and PhD was Rebecca Dean.
