Research Interests

My focus is on the role of invertebrate remains in human communities, including their dietary significance and some of their functional uses. Currently, my research will concentrate on the Mesolithic period, with a particular emphasis on the Muge shell midden.

Short Bio

I hold a degree and a master’s from the University of Algarve. My previous work focused on the study of invertebrates in modern communities, from the Roman period to the Modern era. My PhD will explore the consumption and use of invertebrates by Mesolithic communities at the Muge shell middens.
