Short Bio

After earning my Bachelors and Masters in Archaeology at the University of Padova (Italy), I did my PhD at the University of Tübingen, working under the supervision of Prof. Chris Miller and Prof. Nick Conard. My doctoral studies focused on the reconstruction of landscape changes in the Ach and Lone valleys around the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM, 24.000-20.000 14C BP) and the impact of these changes on the preservation of Late Pleistocene deposits within the karst system of this region. After my PhD defense in September 2017, I applied for an Innovation Grant from the University of Tübingen. This type of grant is to help young researchers develop their PhD research into a small cultural or commercial product. I designed and built an innovative, interactive museum exhibit to share my PhD research with the general public. The grant funded me with a post-doctoral position and a budget for hiring students to work with me and cover the material expenses for the production of the installations. In the spring of 2019 I joined ICArEHB as a Postdoctoral researcher.
