Research Interests
My PhD will investigate the emergence of stone tools, focusing on recent discussions about the mechanisms and nature of this development. I will examine the potential role of bipolar knapping in the emergence of hominin technology. I will also analyse the impact of bipolar knapping on the evolution of hominin technology and techno-cultural behaviours throughout the Lower, Middle and Upper Pleistocene in East Africa.
