Short Bio

Daniela Maio is a PhD student developing research about mobility and settlement patterns during Paleolithic. She completes the MA in Archaeology at the University of Algarve, in 2018 with the thesis theme: Paleolithic Occupation in Barlavento Algarvio: predictive models with resource to GIS. She has also worked, as an archeologist, in commercial archaeology through accompaniments and excavations in certain contexts and chronologies (e.g.: Bronze Age, Islamic Period). She also collaborated in the organization of some conferences (e.g.: XIII Iberian Congress of Archaeometry, VI young Researchers in Archaeology conference: Change in crisis situations, International Conference on Use-wear Analysis. Use-wear 2012) Currently is working at ICAREHB, University of Algarve, while undertaking a PhD on the subject Human settlement during Heinrich events in the Iberian Peninsula:  an approach through GIS software, at University of Algarve.
